One file at a time, up to 50 MB.

How to split it

If you get several PDFs, you download them together in a ZIP.

Type single pages or ranges separated by commas. By ranges, each one becomes a PDF; when extracting, they all go into a single PDF, in the order you type them.

Your files are deleted automatically after conversion, and no later than one hour after upload. How we handle your files

Split a PDF into several documents or keep only the pages you need: one chapter of a report, one invoice from a scan that holds several, or the signed page of a contract. You download the result straight away, with no sign-up and no watermarks.

How to split a PDF

  1. Select the PDF you want to split.
  2. Choose how: every page separately, by ranges or by extracting pages.
  3. If you choose ranges or extract, type the pages, for example 1-3, 5.
  4. Click “Split PDF” and download the result.

Three ways to split it

Option What you get With “1-3, 5”
Every page One PDF per page, in a ZIP No need to type pages
By ranges One PDF per range, in a ZIP Two PDFs: one with pages 1 to 3 and another with page 5
Extract pages A single PDF with the pages you chose One PDF with pages 1, 2, 3 and 5

How to type the pages

Type the page numbers separated by commas, with a hyphen for ranges: 1-3, 5, 8-10. The first page is page 1, even if the document has different page numbers printed on it.

When extracting, the pages come out in the order you type them: with 3, 1, 2, page 3 becomes the first one. That also lets you reorder a PDF or delete pages from it: extract every page except the ones you don’t want.

The files you download

If the result is a single PDF, you download it as it is, with the original’s name. If there are several, they come in a ZIP, numbered in order: contract-01.pdf, contract-02.pdf… When you split every page, the number is the page’s number in the original; by ranges, it follows the order you typed them in.

Your pages, exactly as they were

We copy each page without redrawing it: text stays selectable, images keep their quality, and links and form fields are kept. Each new PDF starts clean: it doesn’t carry the original’s bookmarks (the side index) or its internal details, such as the author.

Limitations

  • One PDF at a time, up to 50 MB, with 500 pages per document and no more than 100 ranges.
  • We can’t split protected PDFs, whether they need a password or only restrict editing.
  • To do the opposite and combine several PDFs into one, use Merge PDF. To get the pages as images, use PDF to JPG.

Frequently asked questions

How do I separate the pages of a PDF?

Upload the PDF, keep the “Every page” option selected and click “Split PDF”. You download a ZIP with one PDF for each page, numbered in order.

How do I extract only some pages from a PDF?

Choose “Extract pages” and type the ones you want, for example 2, 5-7. You download a single PDF with those pages, in the order you typed them.

Can I delete pages from a PDF?

Yes: extract every page except the ones you want to delete. For example, to remove page 4 from a 10-page PDF, choose “Extract pages” and type 1-3, 5-10.

Does splitting a PDF reduce its quality?

No. The pages are copied as they are, without compressing them again: text stays selectable and images keep their resolution.

Can I split several PDFs at once?

No: you split one PDF at a time, because the pages you choose belong to that document. When you’re done, click “Split another PDF” to move on to the next one.
